Here in Minnesota, we do winter like nowhere else. It should come as no surprise, given our nearly six months of frigid weather every year, that we’ve come up with more than a few things to entertain ourselves during the year’s coldest season. One community, in particular, takes winter very seriously. The little town of Waseca, Minnesota, has 50 days of winter activities that will make your season unforgettable. Take a look:
Waseca is a small southern Minnesota town of about 9,000 people.
This festival is a 50-day winter extravaganza that includes just about everything you can imagine. From January 26 through March 9, 2019, the community gets to gather to make the post-holiday winter months a whole lot more bearable.
Outdoor activities like horseback riding, vintage snowmobile rides, and ATV adventures, will get you some much-needed fresh air during a long, cooped-up winter.
And when you get too cold, you can head indoors for all manner of warm activities. Cribbage tournaments, coloring contests, bingo, and more will help chase the winter blues away.
All in all, Waseca’s 50-day winter extravaganza is a surefire way to get you out of the winter blues. Visit just about any time between January 26 and March 9 to take part in the festivities!
