For those of us who love hunting for unique treasures at great prices, nothing beats a good thrift store or flea market. That is, nothing beats those things for most of the year. But for one weekend every spring, a 100-mile yard sale goes right through Minnesota. If you’re an antique hound or a vintage junkie, you will absolutely love your visit. Mark your calendars, because this incredible yard sale is coming up fast.
The 100 Mile Garage Sale takes place in southeastern Minnesota along the Mississippi River. In 2018, the sales take place May 4-6.
More than 15 towns on both sides of the river — in Minnesota and Wisconsin — take part in the sales. These historic towns are well worth visiting on their own, but the garage sales make it even more fun.
And because the towns are centered on the Mississippi River — Lake Pepin in particular —there are ample opportunities to step away and take in some of the beautiful natural landscape of this area.
As for the sales, dozens of vendors across the area line up their driveways and yards with fantastic merchandise at amazing prices. Both individuals and business owners take part in the sales.
This is one yard sale weekend you don't want to miss out on. For more information about the sales, including a list of sales and locations, check out the 100 Mile Garage Sale website here.
