Winter weather shouldn’t keep you from appreciating Michigan’s endless array of outdoor attractions. When temperatures drop and snow covers the ground, there’s still much to discover here in the Great Lakes State. One park and accompanying nature center will take you on a journey through some of Mother Nature’s greatest offerings – and you’ll enjoy its beauty every season.
Love Creek County Park is located at 9292 Huckleberry Rd in Berrien Center.
This stunning spot remains open year-round for outdoor exploration. In addition to all sorts of fresh air attractions, there’s an on-site interpretive center that hosts educational events.
While there is a small entrance fee to access the park and nature center, the memories you’ll make here are priceless. During the winter months, there’s an extra sense of natural whimsy.
With 200 acres to explore, it’s nearly impossible to have a bad time here - even when temperatures are low. Lace up your hiking boots and get ready to appreciate the great outdoors.
Love Creek features six stunning miles of trails that lend themselves perfectly to hiking and cross-country skiing. Visitors can even take advantage of ski rental equipment at the park.
During your jaunt along the winter trails, you’ll appreciate a sense of serenity while meandering through swaths of pine trees, snowy prairies, and peaceful ponds and creeks.
If that weren’t enough, adventurers can turn their Love Creek outing into a true family affair. That’s right: your four-legged friends are welcome to tag along, so long as they are leashed.
