I’ve spent a considerable amount of time exploring the area around Traverse City, Michigan. In my opinion, it’s one of the most beautiful places in the country. It’s full of seasonal adventures and carries a unique charm that you’ll recognize anytime you see an “M22” bumper sticker. Not only do Traverse City and the Leelanau Peninsula feature beautiful landscapes, but they also host some of the most stunning properties I’ve ever seen.

I witnessed many of these homes during my time in Northport. Had I not seen them with my own eyes, the descriptions would have been hard to believe. Moondance Shores would fit that category as well. Luckily, there are several people who’ve actually rented at this property and given it incredible reviews. I knew this Airbnb wasn’t too good to be true.

Moondance Shores is an extremely popular booking. While the summer can fill up quick, there are still some great opportunities to book this Airbnb at offseason rates in the late spring.
The walls just seem to melt away inside this home. It’s hard not feeling connected to the beach vibes outside with these tall windows.

You might feel compelled to just keep the doors open and let that fresh lake air circulate throughout the home. In addition to the living area, there’s also an enclosed porch and a full, state-of-the-art kitchen.
There are three bedrooms throughout the house: king room, queen room, and a double room. All of them are outfitted with comfortable linens and a beautiful view of Lake Michigan’s Grand Traverse Bay.

I can already feel the relaxation. I don’t think I’ve woken up anywhere in my life with a view as gorgeous as this.

This rental is just minutes from Leelanau State Park and several other hikes that take you to the pure Lake Michigan side of the peninsula.
This slice of heaven also comes with one and a half miles of private beach. You’ll feel like you’re the last people on earth with the amount of privacy you get here.

Other ways to enjoy the property are by using some of their numerous bike trails, or even take a ride on the Peleton inside.

The only reason I wouldn’t want to book Moondance Shores is because I’ll probably never leave. Not only is this entire property a total adult playground, but there’s plenty of fun off the property too. Whether you’re heading to the Hop Lot for a local brew or taking a trip to Fish Town for some of the best sandwiches in the state there’s always something to keep you busy.

You’ll want to make sure you book your stay at Moondance Shores quickly because it tends to fill up during the summer.
