Today's adventure takes you to the Harbor Springs area, on a hike with a stunning tunnel of trees. Though this trail is a bit longer than many of us are used to hiking, it's well worth the extra power to get through in order to enjoy the scenery.
Much of the trail is paved, thankfully, which makes it a great option for road biking, roller blading, and more. With a path this smooth through the trees, wheels of all kinds should have an easy time navigating through.
The tunnel of trees is beautiful at any pace, fast or slow, and that magical feeling you get while being surrounded by trees is in full effect here. There's just something otherworldly about traveling through a tunnel in nature that makes the experience special.
Though the whole trail takes the better part of eight hours to complete, hiking only part of it is perfectly fine and just as rewarding. A large portion of the trail is up against the water for viewing, so even if you turn back halfway through, you'll be treated to glorious views.
