The 2019 Great Lakes Surf Festival will take place on Saturday, August 17th in Muskegon.
Now in its second year, this fun-filled celebration brings a healthy dose of surf culture to the shores of Lake Michigan. The event lasts from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.
During the festival, surfers and spectators alike will flock to Pere Marquette Beach for a day full of sunshine and adventure. There’s something for everyone.
If you’ve always wanted to be a surfer, now’s your chance. Eager festival-goers can sign up to participate in Great Lakes surfing lessons for beginners - talk about fun!
Other offerings include kayak lessons, wind-surfing lessons, a kiteboarding class, and a Hula dance workshop. There’s no better place to pick up an awesome new skill.
Of course, there’s more than just athletic excitement to be found here. Visitors will also enjoy plenty of live music and other entertainment throughout the festival schedule.
Partake in a yoga session, decorate your own surfboard, take your kids to a play area, or participate in a beach cleanup. It’s pretty much impossible to have a bad time here.
Admission passes begin at $20 per adult and $10 per child. Whether you’re eager to get in the water or simply ready to admire pro surfers from afar, you’ll be delighted.
