Ready to kick off a brand new holiday tradition here in Michigan? Many of us have fond memories of driving through the neighborhood to check out Christmas lights and other decor, and there’s one small town in the Great Lakes State that has captured this sense of childlike glee. Hop in the car with your family and venture to Spring Lake for a fantastic and safe wintertime adventure.
The Village of Spring Lake is located in Ottawa County.
This charming community houses approximately 2,500 full-time residents, rendering it a genuine small town. During the holiday season, though, Spring Lake comes to life with glee.
While the village’s downtown area typically draws in plenty of shoppers in anticipation of Christmas, the 2020 season brings new joy in the form of the Spring Lake Sparkle event.
Spring Lake Sparkle is a drive-through adventure that will fill your heart with holiday cheer. Downtown Spring Lake is illuminated by thousands upon thousands of twinkling lights.
That’s right: upwards of 120,000 gorgeous lights have been installed in the trees along Savidge Street between Buchanan and Division Streets. Buildings are also decked out.
You don’t even have to leave your vehicle to appreciate this spectacular showing. Can you imagine a better way to make lasting memories while remaining safe and cozy in your car?
The lights of Spring Lake Sparkle will remain on display through January 3rd, so there’s plenty of time to head out for a drive through town. Get ready to blast those holiday tunes.
No matter what your age, you’ll feel like you’ve entered a real winter wonderland as you drive through the sparkling streets of Spring Lake. This is sure to become a family tradition.
There’s no cost to explore Spring Lake Sparkle, so hop in the car and make your way to this delightful West Michigan village when you’re craving a bit of holiday cheer.
