Michigan is home to so many talented chefs and amazing restaurants it’s sometimes hard to choose, right? How about a restaurant that’s out of the way, maybe even considered “remote” due to its unique location? There are probably many remote restaurants in Michigan , but Legs Inn in Michigan is particularly worth the journey. Prepare your taste buds for absolute excellence!
Cross Village Township in Michigan has the distinction of enveloping more than 10 square miles and having a population of only about 300 souls. That's a lot of room to spread your wings. But that's not all Cross Village has going for it. There are a couple more "biggies" that make this spot in the mitten worth seeking out and purposely spending some quality time there.
On a ridge overlooking Lake Michigan, this quaint community is effortlessly charming.
Cross Village also has the distinction of being at the end of Michigan's famed M-119, a.k.a. the "Tunnel of Trees." Popular in autumn for the incredible foliage colors, the "Tunnel of Trees" leads you right to Cross Village and a restaurant that would be so worth the journey even without the Tunnel of Trees to gawk at along the way.
This scenic stretch between Good Hart and Cross Village is truly stunning all year round,
The Legs Inn is a landmark in these parts and deservedly so. It's been in the same family for more than 90 years and is one of the most unique "destination restaurants" you'll encounter in Michigan.
Legs Inn in Michigan dates back to 1921, and it maintains an incredible historical ambiance to this day.
Perched high on a bluff with long-range views of Lake Michigan, Legs Inn is seemingly in the middle of nowhere with views that go on forever.

are not accepted at this historic site, so you will want to plan your trip at a time that works well for you.
From the all-stone facade mixed wtih knobby wood and carvings...
The outdoor garden dining is like a fairytale dining room, and the dreamy facade of the building only adds to the quaint vibe.
...to a top-notch interior with still more whimsy, this restaurant promises to deliver more than just delicious fare.
You'll feel right at home in a friendly and comfortable atmosphere that's manned by an out-of-this world staff.
The fare, by the way, mostly focuses on traditional Polish dishes, like the Polish Poutine made with Golash.
There's so much to love about ethnic comfort food, and Legs Inn really does it right.
You'll also find some American dishes as well, but with a twist of old-world technique.
Locally-caught Great Lakes Whitefish is a fan favorite, but there are many lovely options on the
menu at Legs Inn in Michigan. Buffalo cauliflower offers a yummy way to start off any meal, and the (Almost) Chicago-Style Dog is an all-American delicacy.
And desserts that will make you wish you'd saved room for a second dessert!
Try Polish-style crepes, a fruit pierogi, and other old-school and modern favorites at Legs Inn.
Of course, there is plenty of seating inside, but Legs Inn also offers ample outdoor seating, both covered and on the open-air patio.
Plan to bring your friends! This friendly ambiance offers an incredible place to catch up with acquaintances.
With so much delicious food, plus a whimsical and fun atmosphere, it's no wonder folks are willing to make the drive over to Cross Village just to get a taste of Legs Inn.
Without a doubt, this is one Michigan restaurant that's seemingly in the middle of nowhere, but totally worth the effort to get here.
