The holidays might be behind us, but that doesn’t mean we have to stop enjoying brilliantly colorful light displays. In fact, there’s one unforgettable light installation coming to the Great Lakes State that will transport you to a whimsical new world. When you’re ready for a magical outing with family and friends, head to Grand Rapids for an awesome winter experience.
The 2021 World of Winter Festival will take place in Grand Rapids from January to February (the exact dates have not yet been announced).
This one-of-a-kind celebration transforms the city’s downtown into a genuine winter wonderland, with all sorts of fun events and unique displays to appreciate.
From an ice sculpture walking tour to a silent disco to outdoor yoga (lovingly referred to as “snowga”), there’s something here to delight each and every visitor who drops by.
One of this year’s main draws, though, is a stunning light display called Prismatica that will capture imaginations in the Monroe North Lot at 555 Monroe Ave NW.
When you make time to experience Prismatica, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped into a whole new world. This marvelously colorful exhibition has traveled around the globe.
The installation is interactive, featuring 25 illuminated prisms that pivot and fill the area with gorgeous reflections. You’ll be utterly enchanted as you make your way through.
There’s even a soundtrack of bell music playing throughout the installation to round out its sense of whimsy. Can you imagine a more wonderful way to appreciate winter magic?
When you’re searching for an amazing family outing that will spark your imagination and immerse you in a marvelous maze of lights, look no further than Prismatica.
