Life in Michigan is certainly far from normal these days, but we’re still finding reasons to remain positive. After all, the Great Lakes State is home to some of the most resilient and loving people in the nation, and we Michiganders always uncover new ways to persevere. One animal shelter here in Michigan is offering adorable pet portraits to keep customers smiling through this tough time while supporting a fantastic cause.
Cascades Humane Society is located at 1515 Carmen Dr in Jackson.
During typical times, this wonderful facility offers Michiganders the chance to interact with rescued animals and find new four-legged friends for adoption. There’s lots to love.
This particular branch of the Humane Society has a long history of helping animals in the Great Lakes State. Over the years, hundreds of pets have found their forever homes.
With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, unfortunately, CHS has faced financial strain. This difficulty has given way to a handful of creative and clever fundraising endeavors.
One such endeavor is the creation of quarantine pet portraits. For $15, you’ll send in a photo and receive a one-of-a-kind art piece depicting your most beloved furry pal.
CHS employees can’t promise professional-grade art, but they guarantee adorable depictions of your pet and plenty of smiles - along with the joy of supporting a great cause.
To help maintain social distancing guidelines, you can either opt to pick up your art piece upon the reopening of CHS or pay a small fee to have it shipped directly to your home.
