Finally, the time has come for Michigan apple cider. It’s the time we’ve all been waiting for, when we can take in that sweet, aromatic elixir, freshly-pressed from our favorite local mill, pair it with a cinnamon-encrusted donut and maybe take a basket of right-off-the tree apples home with us. We know you’ve got your stand-bys for this fall tradition. But in you wanted to mix it up a bit, here are some of the best around Michigan that we think are really special. Check ’em out.

This cider has been around since the 1860s and is still a local favorite for its old-time pressing methods, family-friendly activities and, of course, donuts.
Come celebrate fall at the Harvest Festival, which takes place here September and October. You'll get to experience farm life to the fullest, with an animal farm, corn maze, hay rides and the apple orchard and pumpkin patch.

This cozy family-owned orchard and cider mill isn't exactly a U-pick spot, but you can still get freshly-picked apples, stock up on yummy syrup, spicy apple butter, jams, baked goods and plenty of activities for the kiddos during the weekends in the fall.
Here, you'll find some awesome cider, donuts, and even a lunch counter to feed your hunger. There's also a corn maze and hay ride for the children and for the adults, fruit wines and hard cider from the winery.
At the orchard, you'll be treated to fresh fruits, Michigan-made treats, and stuff for the kids to do, including a petting zoo, play area, corn maze, bounce houses, and hayrides.
A way's up from the actual orchards, is the mill, which does some tasty, tasty cider and donuts. You know it's good when there's always a line out the door come fall.
