Michiganders are pretty open about our likes and dislikes. We’re easily spotted when we travel elsewhere thanks to our little quirks. Still, there are some things that are just not said out loud as they can be, shall we say, touchy subjects. Here are some such examples.

Head to the west side of the state and you're bound to run into plenty of Cubs fans. It's all about geography.

The party store is one of those neighborhood necessities. However, some of them admittedly are pretty sketchy.

Actually more and more people are turning to other industries for career paths.

Don't get us wrong, Michiganders aren't rude or mean, but we've also got a toughness to us that sets a part from other Midwesterners.

As encouraging as it can be to see folks visiting from out of state, we gotta admit, we'd rather keep this place our own private hidden gem.
