4. There, you can pick up a bushel of Michigan cherries, or really whatever is in season, for some fresh produce that you'll use for breakfast, lunch, and probably dinner.

6. No matter what part of the state you're in, you're likely not far from a hiking trail. So get to one extra early to beat the crowds.
