October is the perfect month to indulge in a few spooks and scares. Whether you’re venturing through a creepy corn maze, making your way through a haunted house, or simply spending a night in with some of your favorite horror movies, there’s no denying that the Halloween season can be a little frightening. But there’s one train ride in Michigan that will allow you to be scared in an entirely new way this October.
The Junction Valley Railroad in Bridgeport is home to nine fully-equipped engines that offer train rides to visitors throughout the year.
But when Halloween rolls around, things get a bit more eerie at the railroad. Each year, crowds show up to take a creepy ride on the annual Halloween Spook Train.
For just ten dollars per person, you and a few friends can hop aboard one of Junction Valley’s trains and venture into the spook-tastic unknown after dark.
The haunted train ride lasts about 20 minutes and passes through bridges, trestles, and plenty of perfectly scary wooded areas. You never know what’s around each bend.
This ride is certainly not for the faint of heart. But if you’re in the mood for a few screams and spine-tingling surprises, you’ve come to the right place. Hurry: the Spook Train only runs through the end of October.
