Fairy Trail Traverse City is located in the Botanic Garden at Historic Barns Park in the northern part of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan.
The 25-acre botanical garden is open year-round and focuses on native plants to northwest Michigan which creates an environmental sanctuary for local wildlife. With a winning combination of gorgeous flora and educational programs; the park is a must-visit destination for nature lovers.
Opened in 2020, the loop trail is located next to the Butterfly Garden and is a little over 0.1 miles in length. The trail has a small creek and plenty of perfect corners to search for fairy houses.
Arguably the best part of the fairy trail is that you can actually build your own fairy house and add it to the collection. The fairy home you create must be made of all-natural materials and built near the trailhead.
