There are not many places you can go nowadays that are free. There is usually a price to pay for attractions and experiences that can help fill your weekend. However, there are a few gems that will not only help save you from boredom on your day off but will also warm your heart. One of our favorites is SASHA Farm Animal Sanctuary located outside Detroit. Read on to discover why this is one of our top-recommended free attractions – and get ready for some adorable photos!
SASHA Farm Animal Sanctuary is the largest in the midwest.
The founders of the farm, Dorothy Davies and Monte Jackson, started their mission to save animals in the early 2000s and since then have grown the farm to where it is today.
All the animals on the farm are rescued, provided food and water, a roof over their furry heads, healthcare, and of course, a lot of affection.
These animals come from all different backgrounds and locations. Many of them had been neglected or mistreated, but at SASHA Farm Animal Sanctuary, they are loved and promised a forever home.
If you're feeling generous, consider giving some help to this heartfelt mission.
