The community of Clarkston is located approximately 45 minutes northwest of Detroit.
This charming village is home to many special events throughout the year, but we think its Movies in the Park series belongs on your calendar. Get ready to have a blast.
The 2020 Movies in the Park events are slated for June 26th, August 7th, and October 10th at Depot Park, Deer Lake Beach, and All Saints Cemetery, respectively.
If you choose to partake, be sure to show up early to snag a good spot. Each event is scheduled to begin at dusk, so you’ll want to head to Clarkston in the evening hours.
For the first showing, moviegoers will enjoy Frozen 2. The August film will be Finding Nemo, while October attendees will celebrate Halloween with a screening of Beetlejuice.
If that weren’t enough, it’s free to check out Clarkston’s Movies in the Park. Donations are accepted but not required - so you can have fun without breaking the bank.
Bring along your own blankets or lawn chairs for the coziest viewing experience possible. Can you imagine a more wonderful way to unwind with the family in tow?
Metro Detroiters of all ages will appreciate these Clarkson gatherings. If you’re searching for a fun way to get outside while enjoying a simple pleasure, mark your calendar.
