It’s called Harbor Country and it’s the perfect place to unwind, with gorgeous beaches, lush orchards, and relaxing backroad biking routes. Some people call it “the Hamptons of the Midwest.” Here are some of the reasons why Harbor Country is a place you need to visit.
Head to Warren Dunes State Park to discover three beautiful miles of sand and dunes that tower 260 feet above the lake. There are six miles of hiking trails to explore but no one will blame you if you just relax on the beach!
Sample distilled spirits and learn about the grain-to-glass process at Journeyman Distillery. It's located in a historic corset factory that's been beautifully restored.

Harbor Country is farm and orchard country and there's nothing better than tasting some just-picked fruit. Head to the New Buffalo Farmer's Market for the season's best. Look for strawberries in June, cherries in July, and peaches in August.
