Do you need something new and fresh to explore in Michigan this autumn? While we love many of our state’s traditional destinations and activities, there’s something especially fun about exploring a newly opened attraction. As you fill your fall calendar with plans for the whole family, make room for this weekend option at one of the state’s most charming cider mills.
Uncle John’s Cider Mill is located off US-127 in the town of St. John’s.
This lovely locale has provided countless Michigan families with fantastic fall memories throughout the years. It’s easy to see why folks return time and time again.
Uncle John’s began as a family farm before transforming into a public attraction during the 1970s. There’s a real sense of welcoming throughout the cider mill and surrounding area.
Over the decades, visitors have filled autumn days at Uncle John’s by exploring the pumpkin patch, venturing through corn mazes, and enjoying vibrant colors in the sunflower field.
This year, a new attraction emerged: an exciting cider yard complete with offerings for the entire family. The yard is open on Saturdays and Sundays between noon and 6 p.m.
When you visit the cider yard, you’ll find everything from bonfire pits to outdoor games to cider options galore, including both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions. Talk about fun.
Live music and food trucks might also make appearances during your cider yard adventure. There’s no better way to enjoy the crisp autumn air while spending time with loved ones.
Whether you’re a newcomer to Uncle John’s or a lifelong customer, one thing is for sure: no fall season is complete without making a few memories at this Great Lakes State gem.
