Carlson’s Fishery is at the heart of Fishtown, providing freshly caught Great Lakes whitefish to hungry visitors and local restaurants alike. Is your mouth watering yet?
The fishery has operated for more than a century, first opening in 1904. That’s right: when you visit Carlson’s, you’re participating in a tradition that’s well over 100 years in the making.
Five generations of Carlsons have dedicated their careers to operating fish tugs, bringing in delicious whitefish from Lake Michigan, and operating the shop.
When you stop in, you’ll find plenty to choose from. Visitors rave about the smoked whitefish, salmon, smoked fish sausage, tasty fish dip, and so much more.
Many patrons also enjoy the beef jerky from Carlson’s, which is smoked with maple wood and brined with a delicious “secret blend.” It’s the perfect snack to snag for the road.
When you’re ready to explore a long-standing Michigan business that will take your taste buds on a wonderful whitefish adventure, look no further than Carlson’s.
