We have some impressive bridges in the Great Lake State like the iconic Mackinac Bridge or the newly created Skybridge which is the world’s longest timber-towered suspension bridge. While these bridges are incredible they are also popular tourist attractions, so why not hike across a free and easily accessible bridge instead? Check out this beautiful dog park and suspension bridge trail in Jenison, Michigan that is perfect for an afternoon stroll.
Grand Ravines Loop is located in Ottawa County in West Michigan.
The 2.8-mile loop trail is an easy route with a combination of paved and natural pathways that takes an average of one hour to complete. The trails are very kid-friendly and children will love seeing the dogs in the park and walking on the trails (Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash).
The bridge is 70 feet high and is fully ADA-accessible. When you walk across the bridge you can admire its construction and get a unique perspective of the ravines below.
There is something to see in every season like an icy river in the winter, wildflowers in the spring, lush greenery in the summer, and fiery foliage in autumn. Bring along the family and your furry friends to this delightful park and trail.
To learn more about the dog park and the other amenities the park has to offer, check out the Ottawa County Parks & Recreation website or the Grand Ravines Dog Park Facebook page.
