It’s often difficult to find attractions that keep the whole family entertained, but animals frequently serve as a unifying interest among Michiganders young and old. When you’re searching for a creative, educational way to get out and appreciate a family adventure, head to this zoo in the Great Lakes State for access to an amazing display. Wild and wonderful attractions await.
John Ball Zoo is located at 1300 Fulton St W in Grand Rapids.
This West Michigan gem has long impressed visitors of all ages, from curious kiddos to adults with an interest in the animal world. There’s something here for everyone.
In addition to a plethora of fascinating permanent attractions, the zoo also hosts traveling exhibits through the year - including this year’s magical BrickLive Animal Paradise.
Through October 25th, 2020, admission to John Ball Zoo will also include access to this unique exhibition, which features more than 40 life-sized sculptures made of mini bricks.
These colorful creations are carefully crafted to depict a vast array of animals, from pandas to giraffes and everything in between. You’ll surely want to snap a few photos.
In total, the sculptures throughout BrickLive Animal Paradise comprise a whopping 1.8 million individual mini building bricks. This is anything but an ordinary art exhibition.
If that weren’t enough, each sculpture is accompanied by information about endangered species, habitat facts, conservation efforts and more. Kids will learn while having a blast.
By the time you’re through exploring BrickLive Animal Paradise and John Ball Zoo as a whole, you’ll be happily exhausted and counting down the days until your next visit.
