Boyne School Forest Trail is located off Erickson Rd in Boyne City.
This volunteer-constructed trail area was created as part of a cooperative effort between Boyne City Public Schools and the Michigan Mountain Bike Association.
When you choose to hike or ride your mountain bike here, you’ll find eight miles of trailway and terrain that visitors of all athletic levels can appreciate. There’s much to love.
If you’d like to break your journey up into smaller segments, opt to explore one of three terrific trail sections. Options include a beginner, intermediate, and expert loop.
As its name suggests, the Boyne School Forest Trail is home to plenty of natural splendor, including towering trees and greenery that make for a whimsical setting.
During warmer months, you’ll appreciate vibrant wildflowers and plenty of sunny patches. As you stroll through the area, take time to bask in the fresh woodland air.
Hikers and bicyclists here should be careful to stay on the predetermined trails and respect the space of other visitors. There’s a real sense of community along this path.
