Folks outside of the Great Lakes State will never quite get that we have some of the most beautiful beaches in the world and that’s okay since that means more room on the velvety white sands for us! If you’re stuck on what to do on the long dog days of summer, take heart that here on the Third Coast, we have picturesque beaches on lock.

You'll never run out of things to do at this Lake Michigan beach, which offers a playground, volleyball courts, a restaurant, and access to both the Muskegon lighthouses and the Muskegon Channel. For your four-legged friends, there's also a dog beach nearby.
As one of the most beautiful beaches in Michigan, Sleeping Bear Dune has been named the most beautiful place in America. It should be added to everyone's beach bucket list.
This sparkly sandy beach is within walking distance to downtown and offers sand volleyball courts, a playground, the North Breakwater Light, a picnic area with BBQ grills, and concession stands. For a small fee, you can play miniature golf and shuffleboard, too.
