As colder temperatures make an appearance here in Michigan, many restaurants and other businesses have gotten creative with their outdoor options. One beloved distillery in the Great Lakes State is no exception, offering guests a fun and thoughtfully crafted “base camp” at which to enjoy beverages and food. Be sure to snag a reservation and add a dash of magic to your winter.
Iron Fish Distillery is located at 14234 Dzuibanek Road in Thompsonville.
This gem prides itself on being Michigan’s very first farm distillery, offering a variety of spirits and snacks to keep your taste buds tingling with joy throughout each and every season.
The beverages here are distilled in small batches using locally cultivated ingredients and timeless practices. From whiskey to vodka to rum, there’s something for every palate.
Of course, tasting opportunities are at the heart of Iron Fish Distillery. During typical times, guests can gather at the indoor bar or spend warmer months enjoying an outdoor tasting.
Beginning this winter, though, the distillery is offering something new: a unique and distanced means of outdoor dining and drinking via the charming Base Camp Iron Fish.
Inspired by the design of a mountaineering base camp, this awesome attraction allows guests to reserve 90-minute slots inside cozy tents with members of their own households.
Tents are fully sanitized between guests and heated, so you don’t have to worry about braving the Michigan temps. Sip cocktails and spirits or dig into a wood-fired pizza.
Whether you’re making memories in a tent or enjoying the distillery’s heated outdoor patio and bonfires, a visit to this one-of-a-kind Michigan locale will make your season complete.
