I love taking day trips or quick weekend getaways to Boston. One of my favorite things to do during these visits is to visit the city’s many wonderful museums. From classic fixtures such as the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and the Museum of Science to hidden gems such as the Boston Fire Museum, the city is chock full of interesting museums to discover and explore. Now the selection of city attractions is about to get even bigger with the addition of the WNDR Museum, set to open its doors next month.
WNDR is much more than an art museum; it is a creative immersive experience. The multi-sensory art, created by both technologists and artists, is like nothing you have experienced before.
You can also visit other WNDR museums in San Diego and Chicago.

The Boston location will feature over 20 immersive exhibits including one titled “Let’s Survive Forever.” This extraordinary exhibit showcases the art of artist Yayoi Kusama.
Guests will have a set amount of time to explore this mirrored room which features stainless steel balls strategically placed on the floor and hung from the ceiling. The result of this setup provides the viewer with a series of reflections invoking a feeling of infinity.
“The Wisdom Project” is another featured exhibit that has proved to be popular in existing museum locations. This ongoing evolving exhibit is created from notes and words left by guests.
This powerful display will be sure to get you thinking!
And yet another fun and unique space is the museum’s light floor. This unique multi-sensory experience made up of hundreds of LED panels comes to life when activated by motion.
If the Boston location is anything like the other WNDR Museum venues, it will definitely be a fun place for guests of all ages to come and spend an afternoon! More information about the exhibits and museum opening can be found on the WNDR Museum website and the WNDR Museum Facebook page.
