Why let your skier friends have all the winter sports fun? You don’t have to strap your feet into anything to have a thrilling ride down the slopes this season. At New England Sports Park in Amesbury, you can capture all the excitement of racing down a snowy mountain by riding some of the best tubing slopes in the East.
This massive sports park caters to those who love a bit of snowy fun, but don't want to bother with ski or snowboard lessons.
The park features three separate hills dedicated to tubing. The main hill has six lanes and is open during weekdays, while all three are typically open on weekends.
You'll have a ton of fun slipping and sliding over the snow. You can ride the hills as many times as you like during the three-hour block that your ticket covers.
The weekend hills are steeper, so they’re perfect for riders who want as exciting a ride as possible. There’s even a special, gentler slope for toddlers and young children. If you’re not looking for a healthy balance between the two, the main hill is perfect.
Everyone knows the worst part of sledding is trudging up the hill with your sled. At this park, you can simply ride the conveyor belt or handle tow up the hill.
Fly down the slopes solo, or in a group of up to 25 riders! Heading down the hill in a massive cluster of friends is unlike any sledding experience you’ve ever had.
There’s also a bar and grill upstairs, complete with a full beverage selection and tasty pre- or post-tubing grub. You can even watch the slopes while you snack.
The park offers extended hours during school vacation weeks, so you can be sure that the whole family gets a chance to experience this place.
Tickets are $25 each for three-hour blocks on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets are only $20 each on Thursdays.
