I'm an east coast girl living in a west coast world. I grew up in New England before moving to SoCal for several years. I then lived in NYC or a year before moving to AZ in 2009. I worked in the entertainment industry for many years of my adult life and have a deep love for photography, writing, and traveling around the U.S. as well as to far-flung locations around the world. Travel is my life and writing about it is a dream!
While there are plenty of unique restaurants around the Bay State, guaranteed you’ve never seen a menu quite like the one at Moonshine 152. In fact, it’s a restaurant with the wackiest menu in Massachusetts! If you’re looking for a unique dining experience with a twist, this Southie eatery is a must-visit.
Located in South Boston, aka Southie, Moonshine 152 is an American restaurant with a twist. Offering a menu filled with some of the most creative dishes you'll ever find, this is a place you'll want to come back to again and again.
While you'll want to try everything on the menu, nothing says "party" like Moonshine 152's Party Tots! These are not your average tots as they are smothered in kimchi butter, sweet chili sauce, and truffled teriyaki sauce.
In addition to Party Tots, there are also Party Sprouts. Forget any preconceived notion you've ever had about Brussels sprouts because these are one-of-a-kind.
Just like the tots, these sprouts are smothered in kimchi butter, sweet chili sauce, and truffled teriyaki sauce.
You may want to try the ultra-creative burger of the month. The burger pictured here, for example, is the Buffalo Chicken Burger. Topped with Buffalo chicken dip, Fritos, shaved celery, and blue cheese, it's quite decadent.
Another must-try menu item is the Scallion Pancake Quesadilla. With BBQ pulled pork, scrambled egg, queso, and tomato, you've never had a quesadilla quite like this before!
While there is an excellent selection of wine, sangria, beer, and craft cocktails, it's the Jello Shots you'll want to try. However, you may find a different flavor to try each time you visit Moonshine 152.
(Pictured here are the Lemon Cheesecake Jello shots made with fresh lemon zest cheesecake jello and crumbled shortbread. Delicious!)
Have you dined at Moonshine 152, the restaurant with the wackiest menu in Massachusetts yet? If so, what was your favorite item you tried? Tell us in the comments! To learn more, head to the Moonshine 152 website and Facebook page.
Another Boston eatery to visit, Saltie Girl, offers its very own unique menu item – fried lobster and waffles! It’s a dish you must try.
