When you think of Boston beer, the name Samuel Adams immediately comes to mind. The company behind this beer is known for producing its popular Boston Lager as well as several rotating seasonal brews. What started off in the 1980s with a batch of kitchen-brewed lager has now turned into one of the country’s biggest independent craft breweries. If you want to know more about how this iconic beer is brewed or just want a fun and unique Massachusetts factory tour experience, come down to Jamaica Plain and take a tour of the Samuel Adams Boston Brewery.
There are several different tour experiences to choose from, ranging in length from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours. Children are welcome on the Sam Signature Experience Tour, but most other tours are 21+.
The Brewery is just a short walk from the subway, so it is easy to get there. Limited parking can be found onsite. There is some walk-in availability, but we recommend booking tours ahead of time on the brewery’s website.
Learn about the brewing process, research and development, and the brewing equipment used to make these craft beers.
There is also a great “shareable bites” menu to enjoy. Options include Belgian waffles, charcuterie boards, and pretzels.
The brewery also hosts a lot of fun events including bingo, live music, trivia, and dance parties. You can even rent out the space to host your own private event.
For more tour information, please visit the official Samuel Adams Boston Brewery website or Samuel Adams Boston Brewery Facebook page. Have you taken a tour of the brewery?
