I'm an east coast girl living in a west coast world. I grew up in New England before moving to SoCal for several years. I then lived in NYC or a year before moving to AZ in 2009. I worked in the entertainment industry for many years of my adult life and have a deep love for photography, writing, and traveling around the U.S. as well as to far-flung locations around the world. Travel is my life and writing about it is a dream!
New restaurants seem to pop up every week, or even every day. While it can be fun to try a brand-new restaurant, there’s just something so special about dining at an establishment that’s been around for decades. Places like this are classic and timeless. One such timeless restaurant in Massachusetts, Wimpy’s Seafood Cafe, has been open for well over half a century and it’s a classic that everyone should visit.
Back in 1938 in Osterville, a hamburger stand by the name of Wimpy's was established. Over the years, it became more and more popular and expanded to what it is today.
Today, this eatery has over 200 seats throughout its three rooms as well as a seafood market. However, its good ol' fashioned, casual ambiance has remained!
Classic Cape Cod fare like a lobster roll can be found here. Choose from the regular size or jumbo (trust us, you'll want to get the jumbo). Sandwiches come with a choice of fries or cole slaw.
Of course, there is a wide selection of fried seafood here like fried calamari, fried sea scallops, and fried clams. To try a variety of fried seafood, order Wimpy's Fisherman's Platter for the table.
There's no seafood restaurant in Massachusetts quite as timeless as Wimpy's. From the menu to the location to the ambiance, it's a must-visit eatery on Cape Cod!
