The Bay State is arguably home to some of America’s greatest pieces of history, but did you know that we are also home to the oldest covered bridge in the nation? The Burkeville Covered Bridge in Conway is the oldest surviving covered bridge, and it’s a beautiful piece of history. This covered bridge uses materials that were found in the 19th century, and while it was closed to traffic for many years, you can now drive through this bridge for a charming experience. The oldest covered bridge in Massachusetts is in Conway, and it’s so worth a visit.

While the records for this bridge aren't so clear, it's guessed that this was built around 1871.
