I'm an east coast girl living in a west coast world. I grew up in New England before moving to SoCal for several years. I then lived in NYC or a year before moving to AZ in 2009. I worked in the entertainment industry for many years of my adult life and have a deep love for photography, writing, and traveling around the U.S. as well as to far-flung locations around the world. Travel is my life and writing about it is a dream!
‘Tis the season for holiday lights, gift-giving, egg nog, caroling, and Christmas cheer! If you want to visit someplace that’s just oozing with Christmas spirit, make your way to The Christmas Place in Abington. This holly jolly Christmas store in Massachusetts will make your season merry and bright!
Editor’s Note: Unfortunately, The Christmas Place in Abington has closed its doors permanently as the owners have retired.
The Christmas Place in Abington has been around since 1982. Family-owned and operated, it happens to be the largest Christmas store in New England.
Enter the doors of this festive store and feast your eyes upon trinkets, lights, ornaments, holiday decor for both indoors and outside, lighted trees, wreaths...you name any Christmas item you're looking for and they've probably got it.
Room after room is filled with the magic of the Christmas season. You'll walk around mesmerized with all the seasonal offerings at this store where you can pick up just about any kind of Christmas decor imaginable.
There's an entire room filled with lighted trees you can walk through like an enchanted wonderland. The Christmas Place is also THE place to come for ornaments. You can even get certain ones personalized!
While there is a wonderful in-store Santa display, kids can actually meet Santa in his Christmas Forest on Saturdays and Sundays. Kids can tell Santa what they want, take pictures with him, and receive a candy cane.
You may be here browsing and looking at displays for hours, so when hunger strikes, head to Santa's Fudge Kitchen. Grab a treat like homemade fudge, cookies, and fresh roasted nuts as well as coffee drinks, hot chocolate, hot apple cider, or old-fashioned soda.
With the holidays upon us, do you plan to visit The Christmas Place? Do you know of another festive Christmas store in Massachusetts? Tell us in the comments! For more information, visit The Christmas Place website and Facebook page.
If you haven’t yet been to Yankee Candle in Deerfield during the holidays, you should make plans to visit!
