When you think of an Italian restaurant, plates of pasta, meatballs, parmigiana, and calamari may come to mind. But it may surprise you that there’s an Italian restaurant that offers all of that plus some of the best burgers in Massachusetts. While a burger at an Italian eatery may be a bit unexpected, you’ll have to try one for yourself to believe it.
Bocca Bella Café & Bistro is an Italian restaurant in the village of Auburndale in Newton. It's a hidden gem where guests can expect excellent food, service, and ambiance.
As for Italian fare, start with the antipasto, a Mediterranean platter, or calamari. For dinner, how about an eggplant, chicken, veal, shrimp, or zucchini parmigiana or a pasta.
Order the Texas burger with a fried egg and BBQ sauce, the Auburn with cheddar cheese and caramelized onions, or the California burger topped with guacamole. Turkey and Beyond burger patties can be substituted for beef.
