Anyone who has lived in Massachusetts for a while knows that the summers here can get uncomfortably hot and humid. I always find that one of the best ways to seek relief from the heat is to spend a day cooling off at the beach. While I am a big fan of the ocean, I still find the New England waters a bit too chilly for me to bear at times. When I want to skip the teeth chattering and limb numbness, but still want to spend a day swimming in the water and sitting back in my comfortable beach chair, I opt to visit a local lake or pond. Massachusetts is filled with several wonderful freshwater swimming spots and Morses Pond in Wellesley is one of the best. This year, you can purchase a non-resident season pass and enjoy a summer full of fun and relaxation.
