Celebrity-owned restaurants are sweeping the nation, and Massachusetts now has its fair share of famous eateries. OnlyInYourState has already told you about Novara (partially owned by Jordan Knight of New Kids on the Block), and you may also know of Wahlburgers (owned by the Wahlberg family). Former NBA Superstar Shaquille O’Neal is the latest celebrity to open a business in the Bay State. His restaurant, Big Chicken, will be coming to Massachusetts in 2024!

The Big Chicken craze has already hit cities such as Philadelphia, Las Vegas, and Seattle. Restaurants can also be found on select Carnival cruise ships.

The chain is about to add even more delicious restaurants including several Massachusetts locations. Addresses are yet to be announced, but I can tell you that one is set to open at the Northshore Mall in Peabody.

The recipes at the Big Chicken take favorite meals from Shaq’s childhood and put a modern-day spin on them. The result is delicious food combinations full of flavor.

And the milkshakes look amazing! There are four different flavors, as well as ice cream sandwiches and gigantic chocolate chip cookies on the dessert menu.
