Nothing goes better with art than sunshine and the sea. This little collection of artist shanties in Massachusetts is a marvelous place to wander, shop, and relax. Here’s what you need to know to visit.
The Hyannis Artist Shanties are a truly spectacular attraction. They’re like a tiny village of artists and antique dealers right on the water!
The Hyannis Artist Shanties are a group of colorful harbor side shacks that are rented by artists and shopkeepers by the day. Treasure seekers of all types will be in heaven here.
The selection changes by the day as old vendors pack up and new ones move in. You can find everything from antique buttons to gorgeous, handprinted landscapes.
While you wander, you can grab a bite to eat at one of the waterside restaurants and seafood shacks just steps away from the shanty village. Or simply dine al fresco on the lush lawn near the village.
Every Monday and Friday during the 2019 shanty season, the village will play host to live Cape Cod musicians. The shows will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., weather permitting.
