I'm an east coast girl living in a west coast world. I grew up in New England before moving to SoCal for several years. I then lived in NYC or a year before moving to AZ in 2009. I worked in the entertainment industry for many years of my adult life and have a deep love for photography, writing, and traveling around the U.S. as well as to far-flung locations around the world. Travel is my life and writing about it is a dream!
It’s always a great feeling when you find that go-to place in your neighborhood where you can grab a drink and a delicious meal and experience a sense of community. Since 1939 Pica’s has been that place for many in Merrimack Valley. With its welcoming staff, fantastic food, and excellent craft cocktails and beer selection, this is one place people love to return to.
Located in Methuen in the Merrimack Valley, Pica's Pub & Grill has been a local watering hole for over 80 years.
It first opened its doors as Pica's Garden Nite Cafe in 1939 by Albert "Pappy" Pica who wanted to create a place for the community to share good food. Now called Pica's Pub & Grill, it is run by Pappy's great-grandson, Shane.
This pub is known for its excellent burgers. The Bacon Onion Jamburger with Swiss cheese, tangy bacon onion jam, and honey chipotle sauce topped with onion strings is a big hit, as anything with bacon on it usually is. You'll also love the house made chips, fries, or onion rings, too.
Pair your food with a craft cocktail or beer. No matter what you order here at Pica's Pub & Grill, you'll enjoy the food, drinks, and the inviting atmosphere of this neighborhood establishment.
