This exclusive overnight experience on Plimoth Plantation will allow you to step into the world of the Pilgrims for an evening. You’ll live, dress, and eat like some of Massachusetts’ first European colonists and have exclusive behind-the-scenes access to this beautiful museum’s unique exhibits.

When you arrive for your experience, you’ll be dressed in your very own colonial costumes and help to prepare a mouthwatering home-cooked meal on an open hearth. You’ll also play games that would have been known to the early settlers, and enjoy an exclusive tour of the English Village. Once evening falls, you’ll be lodged in an authentically built 17th century home. The house is "earthfast," meaning that the floors are dirt and the walls are made of clay, earth, straw, and water. There are no screens in the windows, so you’ll be able to hear all the chirps and hoots of the surrounding forest.

You’ll also be sleeping in a real 17th-century bed! Your mattress will be stuffed with either straw or real feathers, depending on which house you’re given. If the weather is inclement and you and your family prefer not to sleep in the Pilgrim homes, there are also alternative sleeping locations available.

So what should you bring for your journey into the 17th century? The Plantation recommends each time traveler come prepared with sleeping bags or sheets to ensure you’re warm enough. You might also want to bring bug spray or citronella candles to keep the critters away. You’re welcome to bring your own evening snack, though dinner and breakfast are provided and there is no refrigeration or microwave available.

The Deluxe Family Overnight costs $1,200 for a maximum of 10 people, though smaller families and groups are also welcomed at the same price. They also accept larger groups of 40 or more people for just $65 per guest.
