There’s also an area where you can take a bridge hike in Massachusetts. Known as the Keystone Arch Bridges, this is one hike you will want to take at some point in your life.

The stone bridges were originally built in 1841 as part of the country's first railway to pass through a mountain.

Spanning over the West Branch of the Westfield River, these bridges were part of the Western Railroad which connected a route from Boston to Albany. In 2021, the Keystone Arch Bridges became designated National Historic Landmarks.
You can take a one-of-a-kind hike through along the Keystone Arch Bridges Trail. This five-mile, out-and-back trail is rated as moderate and offers plenty of scenery along the way.
