The weather outside may be frosty, but you shouldn’t let that stop you from experiencing all this season has to offer! Get outside and enjoy the fresh air with this special nighttime hike at Appleton Farms. Here’s everything you need to know to enjoy an evening under the stars.
Hosted by The Trustees at Appleton Farms, this special full moon hike will help you celebrate the unique beauty of the season.
The guided evening hike will take place on February 27 and will be led by Appleton staff. You’ll be ushered across the frosty landscape of the farm under the cold, clear light of the full moon.
This is a great option for novice hikers or kids, as the pace will be slow and almost all of the terrain will be flat and easy. Some spots may be muddy or uneven, however, so don’t forget to bring sturdy boots or shoes.
Don’t worry – this hike won’t keep you out all night. It starts roughly at 7 p.m. and should finish up around 8:30 p.m.
Remember to wrap up warm! This is the perfect excuse to wear your thickest sweater and coziest mittens. Bring a thermos of hot chocolate if you want to complete the winter wonderland experience.
The hiking group will meet at the Farm Offices building. When you arrive at the farm, bear left at the fork and park in the lot by the Farm Offices.
Space is limited, so be sure to reserve your spot soon! Tickets are $12 for Trustees members and $20 for nonmembers.
