The Enchanted Village once captivated families in Boston throughout the 1960s and 1970s, but eventually closed and was in danger of being auctioned off piece by piece. Located in Avon at Jordan’s Furniture, this magical Christmas display was once a huge attraction at Jordan Marsh in its Boston Downtown Crossing store throughout the 1960s.
The display was closed in 1972, but Jordan Furniture has rescued the surviving pieces of the vintage collection and restored this holiday village to its former glory.
Between now and January 1, 2018, visitors can wander through the Christmas scenes that are brought to life with moving characters and meticulous detail.
