Hiking in the woods is a wonderful way to get some exercise and take in some gorgeous sights. Throughout Massachusetts, there are hundreds of amazing trails to explore. If you are looking for a hike that is out of the ordinary, I highly recommend a visit to Great Rock Farm in Georgetown, Massachusetts. The farm offers a unique “Goats To Go” program where you can actually take a stroll with some new farm friends.
Goats To Go is located on the beautiful Great Rock Farm in the little town of Georgetown. This family-operated farm is more than 40 years old.
Join the goats for a one-mile hike in the woods. You can take some of the goats on leads and feed them yummy treats. Along the way, you may encounter sheep, llamas, and other farm animals.
If hiking isn’t your thing, you can still make goats part of your exercise routine. Goats to Go offers yoga classes where adorable baby goats interact and mingle with participants. Classes are offered throughout the day and evenings.
Goats To Go also offers solar grazing sheep services.
More information about Goats To Go events can be found on the Goats To Go website or the Goats To Go Facebook page. Have you hiked or done yoga with goats? How was this experience? If you love animals, take a visit to see baby farm friends at Hancock Shaker Village in Pittsfield and visit with Alpacas at Luina Greine Farm in Groton.
