I'm an east coast girl living in a west coast world. I grew up in New England before moving to SoCal for several years. I then lived in NYC or a year before moving to AZ in 2009. I worked in the entertainment industry for many years of my adult life and have a deep love for photography, writing, and traveling around the U.S. as well as to far-flung locations around the world. Travel is my life and writing about it is a dream!
What do you look forward to when spring arrives? Is it the warmer weather, longer daylight hours, or perhaps the flowers blooming in all their colorful glory? If you love seeing an explosion of colorful flowers, consider attending the Festival of Flowers in Massachusetts. Held at the Springfield Museums, this flower festival is a welcome sign of spring.
The Springfield Museums is a collection of five museums in downtown Springfield. The museums include art, science, and history as well as the Dr. Seuss Museum and the Dr. Seuss National Memorial Sculpture Garden.
This spring, from April 7-10, 2022, the Springfield Museums will host its 9th Annual Festival of Flowers event. This much-anticipated festival welcomes spring in the most beautiful way.
Carefully designed and arranged by artists who submit their designs and an artist's statement ahead of time, you'll enjoy seeing the uniqueness of each one.
The arrangements you'll see are an artist's interpretation of a piece of art that exists in the museum's collections. Seen here is a botanical interpretation of the deer's habitat in the painting. This festival certainly gives guests another visual interpretation of art around the museum.
This event is exciting for the whole family. However, if you are unable to attend the Festival of Flowers, not to worry -- you will be able to attend virtually.
Do you plan on attending the Festival of Flowers in Massachusetts this spring? For more information on the event, visit the Springfield Museums’ website and follow the Facebook page for updates on ticket sales. When tickets are available, get yours as soon as possible as this event tends to sell out.
If you love flowers, you should also make plans to visit the Bridge of Flowers in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts.
