On a beautiful Friday just a few weeks ago, my husband and I found ourselves with a rare day off from work. The kids were at school and we had hours just to ourselves. We had been waiting to take the Only In Your State day trip to Waltham and decided that this was the perfect day to do so. We spent the morning hiking Prospect Hill and then headed to In A Pickle Restaurant for a delicious meal.
In A Pickle is a delicious restaurant located downtown on Moody Street. It specializes in breakfast and brunch items as well as sandwiches.

The restaurant is known for its large portions and eclectic menu items.
The eatery is the brainchild of owner Tim Burke. He opened the restaurant in Waltham after finding himself “in a pickle” when searching to find a suitable space to open up his own establishment.

His labor of love proved successful as the restaurant has become very popular and has since been featured on many local and national television food shows.

One of In A Pickle’s signature dishes is the pumpkin bread French toast.
This thing is absolutely massive and oh-so-good! Imagine two slices of scrumptious pumpkin bread covered with rich cream cheese and topped with a candy pumpkin! I hardly put a dent in mine before I got full!

Other flavors of French toast include mixed berry, Nutella, coconut banana, and caramel crunch.
Bam Bam Fruity Pebble Extreme Cakes, Cinnamon Toast Crunch Chicken and Waffles, and Apple Crisp Dulce Cakes are just a few of the many over-the-top menu items and specials that are offered at the restaurant.
If you are looking for a more traditional meal with less sugar, don’t worry, In A Pickle makes these as well. Breakfast items include omelets and breakfast sandwiches and they also have a variety of wraps, paninis, sandwiches, burgers, and salads.
You might also want to order a cocktail to wash down your massive meal. In A Pickle has an extensive menu of mimosas, coffee drinks, bloody marys, and other delicious drinks.
I suggest bringing a small cooler to the restaurant with you. Chances are you will leave with leftovers.
