I'm an east coast girl living in a west coast world. I grew up in New England before moving to SoCal for several years. I then lived in NYC or a year before moving to AZ in 2009. I worked in the entertainment industry for many years of my adult life and have a deep love for photography, writing, and traveling around the U.S. as well as to far-flung locations around the world. Travel is my life and writing about it is a dream!
Fall is almost upon us and with that comes pumpkin spice everything, apple cider, apple cider donuts, fall colors, and crisp, cool air. For many of us in the Bay State, it’s the most wonderful time of the year! But if you love apple cider as much as we do, Hilltop Orchards in the Berkshires is the place to get some of the best apple cider in Massachusetts.
Set in the Berkshires close to the Massachusetts-New York border is a historic orchard with some of the best apple cider you will ever have.
Spend a day at Hilltop Orchards in Hubbardston where you can go apple picking (reservations required), hiking, take a tour of the cidery, enjoy a wine tasting, and...
A fresh mix of apples is taken straight from the trees are cold-pressed here at Hilltop's state-of-the-art cidery. Buy some to take home and enjoy either chilled or warm some up on the stove. Why not add some mulling spice as well?
If you prefer a hard apple cider, Hilltop makes some incredible ones on-site! Its line of Johnny Mash is made with slowly fermented apple cider and aged in oak. The ciders are incredibly tasty!
When you visit, you can partake in a cider tasting and try the Johnny Mash original, hazy, coconut lime, and French ciders. They are both delicious and refreshing.
