I'm an east coast girl living in a west coast world. I grew up in New England before moving to SoCal for several years. I then lived in NYC or a year before moving to AZ in 2009. I worked in the entertainment industry for many years of my adult life and have a deep love for photography, writing, and traveling around the U.S. as well as to far-flung locations around the world. Travel is my life and writing about it is a dream!
Let’s face it – there’s nothing better than chocolate (at least that’s what many of us believe). If you’re someone who loves it more than anything, then finding a shop with delicious melt-in-your-mouth chocolate is the sweetest thing ever! Located in the small town of Erving, you’ll find Erving Station, a chocolatier and confectionery housed inside a former train station. A visit to this is delightfully unique shop will satisfy your sweet tooth in no time!
Erving Station was once a train station that was built in the 1890s. It is one of two remaining train stations left in Franklin County and is now a chocolate shop that kept the original name.
Throughout the year, Erving Station offers a variety of seasonal and holiday chocolates like bunnies for Easter, chocolate-covered strawberries for Valentine's Day, and Cranberry Creams for the fall.
If you're in the area or passing through town, Erving Station is a worthwhile stop. Not only do they offer mouthwatering handmade chocolates but ice cream as well! Choose from hard or soft-serve ice cream, sundaes, milkshakes, and Candy Shop Shakes.
Pictured here is a Fruity Pebbles shake topped with the favorite cereal we may all remember from childhood. Yum!
You can also try an ice cream soda like a Creamsicle, Coke, chocolate soda, vanilla soda, or a classic root beer float with a scoop of ice cream floating on top. It's a perfect treat for a hot day!
