I'm an east coast girl living in a west coast world. I grew up in New England before moving to SoCal for several years. I then lived in NYC or a year before moving to AZ in 2009. I worked in the entertainment industry for many years of my adult life and have a deep love for photography, writing, and traveling around the U.S. as well as to far-flung locations around the world. Travel is my life and writing about it is a dream!
If you’re looking for an outdoor space where you can stroll the grounds and feel inspired, look no further than the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum located just northwest of Boston. Spanning an area of 30 acres, deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum in Lincoln, Massachusetts is the largest sculpture park in New England. It is located on the former estate of Julian de Cordova, an entrepreneur and art collector.
In 1930, Mr. de Cordova gifted his estate to the town of Lincoln who would turn the estate into a public art museum. The DeCordova and Dana Museum opened its doors in 1950 with a focus on modern and contemporary works by local New England artists.
In 1989, the museum's name was changed to deCordova Museum and Sculpture Park and then in 2009, the name was changed to deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum with a focus on the outdoor sculpture park.
