I'm an east coast girl living in a west coast world. I grew up in New England before moving to SoCal for several years. I then lived in NYC or a year before moving to AZ in 2009. I worked in the entertainment industry for many years of my adult life and have a deep love for photography, writing, and traveling around the U.S. as well as to far-flung locations around the world. Travel is my life and writing about it is a dream!
The Bay State is known for having exceptional cuisine, especially when it comes down to seafood. With nearly 200 miles of coastline and access to bays and the ocean, fresh fish restaurants are abundant. Head to Cape Cod and you’ll find seafood shacks and restaurants on just about any corner. But there is one restaurant that has stood the test of time. As the oldest restaurant on Cape Cod (or at least one of the oldest), Skipper Chowder House has served fresh fish dishes and chowder since 1936.
Have you dined at the oldest restaurant on Cape Cod? Tell us all about it in the comments if you have along with any other favorite seafood restaurants in the state! For more information on the location, hours of operation, and to see a menu, visit the Skipper Chowder House website and Facebook page.
