This historic monument is one of 16 fascinating stops on Boston’s Freedom Trail.
The Bunker Hill Monument is part of the National Historic Parks system and is free to climb. You must walk 294 steps up a spiral staircase to reach the top of the monument.
Inside you will find artifacts, murals, and historic weapons related to the battle. You can also find out details about how the monument was constructed.
When you are ready to start climbing, cross the street and enter the Bunker Hill Lodge to gain entrance to the monument.
Take some time to catch your breath and take it all in before walking the 294 steps back down to the base.
