While most Bay Staters understand that Berkshire County is full of incredible nature spots, not many are aware of Olivia’s Overlook. There are quite a few trails that will take you to this hidden overlook in Yokun Ridge South, but Charcoal Trail is arguably the best. While mostly an uphill climb, this trail won’t take too much out of you and will allow you to rest once you reach the magical overlook. Upon this 2-mile loop, you’ll find outstanding views before you even reach your final destination. Make sure to bring a camera, because Olivia’s Overlook tucked away in Stockbridge is a hidden gem that you’ll want to remember for years to come.
Tucked away in the massive 734-acre reserve known as Yokun Ridge South, you'll find various hiking trails that will take you to a secret overlook. To take Charcoal Trail, stay right upon the loop.
Please remember to leave no trace when hiking to this beautiful overlook, including food and orange peels. This land is the native homeland of the Mohican people before they were forced to relocate to Wisconsin. This is meaningful land to the Stockbridge-Munsee Mohican Nation.
